Come out to the river.

Cleanups, guided paddles, planting days, and workdays — year-round, all along the San Joaquin.

How it works

Two kinds of event days

Open events

Some days anyone can join — our own scheduled cleanups and paddles, plus community events we take part in like Beautify Fresno. Those are announced here and in our Facebook group. Sign the waiver, tell us you're coming, and show up.

Space is limited. On paddle days especially, we can only take as many people as we have seats in the boats, so sign up early.

Private events

This is how most of our events start. A school class, scout troop, church group, service club, university team, or workplace gets in touch, and we work out a date and time together. We build the day around what your group wants to do and how many of you there are.

Eagle Scout projects and service-learning hours are welcome — we have hosted plenty of both.

Before you come

A few practical things

  • Sign the waiver first. One form covers you — fill it out online, or print and bring it. Under 18s need a parent or guardian signature.
  • We bring the gear. Gloves, grabbers, bags, tools, canoes, paddles, and life vests.
  • You bring water, sun protection, and shoes that can get wet and muddy.
  • Kids are welcome with an adult. A water-safety briefing comes before anyone gets in a boat.
  • Boat days fill up. Seats are capped by how many the canoes hold, so sign up as early as you can.
