Our mission
Together we clean, restore & protect our rivers.
River Tree Volunteers exists for one simple reason: the San Joaquin River needed friends. We sponsor river and public property cleanups, lead canoe trips and hikes, restore native habitat, and help build the trails that connect Valley communities to their river.
We work hand-in-hand with public land owners, schools and youth groups, service clubs, and individual volunteers across Fresno County and Madera County.

Partners & programs
We don't do it alone
Rivers cross jurisdictions, so cleaning one takes a coalition. River Tree works alongside public agencies and community programs, including:
- Fresno City Adopt-A-Park — maintaining the River Bottom Park Trail
- San Joaquin River Conservancy — land access and restoration coordination
- Friant Fish Hatchery — home of the Small Fry Trail
- Schools, scout troops, service clubs, and church groups across the Valley
